Admissions Process

    TJHSST Admissions accepts a very limited number of students for its junior class each year, which is based in part on student attrition at TJHSST. In recent years, no juniors have been offered admission. Students are not eligible to apply for the junior class if they have previously applied to TJHSST during the Freshman Winter, Freshman Summer, or Sophomore Rounds.

    Students who wish to apply for the junior class apply at the beginning of June for entrance the following September. TJHSST does not admit students for entry to the junior class at any other time during the school year.

    The TJHSST Admissions Office administers all aspects of the junior admissions process, with the assistance of designated TJ Liaison Counselors. All public high schools in participating school divisions have a liaison counselor.  

    Below are important dates to remember as you go through the application process.  Please keep in mind that all materials must be in the hands of either your TJHSST Liaison Counselor or Admissions Office staff by the listed deadlines.  Materials that are received after any admissions deadline (even if they are postmarked by the deadline) will be considered late and will jeopardize an applicant’s eligibility.
