Visitors

Each year Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology welcomes visitors who are interested in innovative secondary education in mathematics, science and technology. If you would like to schedule a visit to our campus, please contact Pat Groves. In order to address your specific areas of interest, we are requesting a formal request in writing from your organization, on letterhead explaining the purpose of your visit, some background of your organization and why a visit would help fulfill our joint missions. In this letter, please include the dates that you are considering, if any, the number and names and titles of the potential visitors and a contact's name and phone number. We ask for this letter to arrive with a minimum of two weeks advance notice of your anticipated visit. We are a public high school, and as such we need to pay keen attention to the safety and security of our students and their educational needs. Thank you for your cooperation.

In general, we allow visits on Tuesdays or Fridays from October - April, when staff can best accommodate. Please note that campus tours may be limited at certain times due to various school-related functions (i.e. testing, special events and other instructional needs).

If you need directions, please visit our directions page. If you will require accommodations please see our listing of area hotels. If you have any other questions concerning your visit, contact Pat Groves.

If you are interested in TJ's curriculum and programs, links of the Curriculum page and the Discovery and Innovation page offer overviews of TJ offerings. For more general information see the About TJ page and Supporting TJ page for links regarding operations and programs that help keep those operations working.
