Seatac is one of two backend V245s. Seatac was received through the 2008 Sun AEG received by the TJ CSL. It inherited about half of the services that used to run on sol. Mass storage is in the process of being transitioned from the donated Dell Fibre Channel (uses copper connections; fibre channel is the name of a protocol as opposed to meaning that it is over a fiber connection) arrays to the Promise iSCSI arrays, which will hopefully be more reliable.

It is currently serving as a primary AFS fileserver using the HA-AFS architecture.

  • Sun admin NFS volume
  • Mirror
