Snares
From Livedoc - The Documentation Repository
snares, also known as top, franklin, and xray at various points in the past, was originally not given a name. Previously, when this server was called franklin, it was the mail server for the lab and was named after Benjamin Frankin, the first U.S. Postmaster General. However, mail was moved to a virtual machine of the same name. Consequently, when this server was re-purposed as a Sun Ray server for the APCS lab, it was renamed xray. Now, the server is named snares, after the Snares Penguin, and serves as a part of the VM cluster. Snares was bought around Thanksgiving 2006.
