Director Allison K. Bailey
Allison K. Bailey holds a Bachelor of Music degree and Graduate Performance Diploma from the Peabody Conservatory of
Music in Baltimore, Maryland, a Master of Music degree in violin performance from the Universtiy of Oregon, and a
Master of Music degree in orchestral performance from the Manhattan School of Music. Ms. Bailey has studied with artists
such as Glenn Dicterow, Aaron Rosand, and Erick Friedman, and has worked with Leonard Slatkin, Mstislav Rostropovich, and
Yo Yo Ma. In addition to her position as director of the TJHSST Orchestra Department, Ms. Bailey maintains a private
violin studio and serves as Concertmaster of the Prince William Symphony Orchestra and Associate Concertmaster of
the Fairfax Symphony Orchestra.
