1There is no summer reading assignment for Physics 1. We recommend that rising juniors who desire additional preparation for physics review what they learned in Algebra II/Trig. Solid understanding of the topics covered in that class is the most important preparation for Physics 1.

2Notes and instructions, and your assignments will be emailed to you starting July 1st.  If you did not register for the course before school ended, then you must email the instructors at dforbes@fcps.edu

3 Students are expected to read Michael Crichton’s State of Fear.  Next year in class there will be an assignment in which assertions, statements of how the world works, and references that appear in the book will be fact checked in detail.  Knowing the context is essential for a such an analysis
