Communication Systems

Focus:

Communication Systems is a research laboratory where students can study video and audio signal capture and processing. Digital and analog systems are reviewed and various methods of data transfer are investigated. The lab uses Adobe Premier for video/audio capture and manipulation on a Windows platform. The lab has mini-DV camcorders to capture video and audio for experimentation. Studies in audio capture, video lighting and setup are available for student experimentation. Video compression for transferring data on the internet is another area of experimentation within the laboratory experience.
