Back To School Forms and Information

Summer reading information for rising Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors is now available here.

Jefferson One Book Selected

Jefferson's 2010 summer One Book is Brave New World by Aldous Huxley. This sci-fi novel will be a great introduction to the 2010-2011 One Question: "How can we maintain our individuality and creativity in an increasingly impersonal and technological world?" PLEASE NOTE: Rising Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors will read the book during the summer. Rising Freshmen will read it with their English classes in the fall. New Driver's License Required for all Sophomores

Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST) will be offering 5 evening traffic safety programs throughout the school year as part of new compulsory attendance requirements for new drivers. Please see the Health and Physical Education web site for details.

School Improvement Plan

As a FCPS member school, TJHSST is responsible for articulating a "School Improvement Plan" that contains two plans: the Student Achievement Plan and the Strategic Improvement Plan.

TJ Receives Accreditation

TJ received accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools following an onsite visit by a distinguished panel of educators. As part of this five year cycle of self-study, the staff at TJ has defined Mission and Beliefs Statement, as well as identified goals and action items. TJ Task Force Report

The TJ Task Force Committee, formed to examine the future programs and facility needs has completed their report which is now available online in PDF format.
