Relativity Lectures

USAPhO is now over, as is Physics Bowl, but that does not mean that physics team is done. Stephen Drodge is now giving a series of lectures related to general relativity on Tuesdays after school and during Friday A-Block. Also, open sessions will be held Friday after school in the Systems Lab. Lecture notes can be found in the Lectures section.

USAPHO Dates

So USAPHO Exams are coming up. The Preliminary Round is on February 4th, a Monday. Which periods on that Monday will be announced some time later. For those who do well and qualify, the QuarterFinal Round is on February 25th, again a Monday. (For those of you whom it may affect, HMMT is on February 23rd, meaning if you procrastinate on homework and don't get sleep Sunday night, you might get owned on the Quarterfinals (which are rumored to be difficult.) The Preliminary Round will consist of Mechanics Multiple Choice Questions only. The Quarterfinal Round will consist of both multiple choice and free response questions on both Mechanics and E&M. Study accordingly.

Lack of 9th Graders

It has come to our attention that we have a dearth of freshmen. Encourage 9th graders to come to Physics Team!
