         <title>TJ Science Bowl Team</title>

         <description>TJ placed 3rd in the nation out of 67 Regional champion teams, earning $1000 for their school and a science trip to the Jefferson Labs in Newport News.  Since the students live so close to the destination, they donated the trip to the 4th place team from Colorado.  Captain Bruce Sun said, "giving the trip away was the best part of Monday!" In addition, the Science Bowl Team earned 1st prize in their division for the Interactive Science Discovery contest on Saturday by successfully creating a cloud in a bottle.</description>

         <title>Presidential Scholars Program Semifinalists</title>

         <description>The following TJ students have been named semifinalists in the Presidential Scholars Program, one of the nation's highest honors for high school seniors: Sarah Benjamin, Flavia Brancusi, Bryan Chun, Francis Deng, Diane Palko, Anne B. Rohlfing, Zahra Sayyid and Aimee Zhang. One male and one female student from Virginia will be chosen in May as Presidential Scholars.</description>

         <description>Congratulations to the following students for being recipients of the Scholastic Writing National Awards: Setareh Bagherzadeh (Grade 9, Gold Award in Personal Essay/Memoir), Nayan Lamba (Grade 9, Gold Award in PE/M), Katie Bailey (Grade 9, Silver Award in PE/M), Nona Jiang (Grade 12, Silver Award in General Writing) and Tessa Zeng (Grade 12, Portfolio Silver Award).

         <title>2008 Future Problem Solving State Bowl Results</title>

This is the 7th time in the school's history that TJ has won the State Championship in the senior team division. </description>

         <title>Virginia State Science and Engineering Fair</title>

TJHSST notably earned more category awards than any other school in the state (followed by Roanoke Valley Governor's School).</description>

         <title>FCPS 24/7 Learning Parent View</title>

	FCPS 24/7 Learning (Blackboard) is an internet-based learning system used by teachers to post syllabus, 
	assignments, and other communications with your children. Parents will now have an opportunity to create 
	their own FCPS 24/7 Learning account to access all their children's accounts via one logon through Parent 
	View. With this new feature, parents need only to register once and add all of their children to their 
	account, from elementary to high school. To get your own FCPS 24-7 Learning Parent View account, please 
	follow the &lt;a href="http://information.tjhsst.edu/parentview.html"&gt;directions and description&lt;/a&gt; of the 
	account validation process.

         <title>TJ Receives Accreditation</title>
