Hi everyone!

With homecoming fast approaching, here is once again the list of spirit days. To remind you, the overall theme, is "What's IN what's OUT"

Monday, October 6: In Vogue (Dress your best)
Tuesday, October 7: Check Me Out (Dress as your favorite literary character)
Wednesday, October 8: Inseparable (Dress as twins, triplets, famous groups, etc.)
Thursday, October 9: What’s In, What’s Out (Class/Faculty Theme Day)
Friday, October 10: In Living Color (class color day – students dress according to their class color; teachers dress head-to-toe in their favorite color)

Be sure to get IN on the Homecoming FUN!

Excited for the next dance of the year? Well here it is ... (drum roll please) ... Our next dance is a regular sochop hosted by the Sophomores this Friday (September 19th), after the football game. So come one, come all, support the football team and enjoy the dance afterwards!

I'm sure most of you are eager to get back to school and meet all your friends again. So as you get into that excitement, get excited about Homecoming this year because it will be bigger and better than ever before (right?). So without further delay, here is your first update regarding homecoming:

Senior Privileges

The FCPS administration has denied our appeal for Off Campus Lunch (OCL) due to concerns about safety and liability. The FCPS and TJ administration believe that seniors should have some special privileges in their final months at TJ. Consequently, Dr. Glazer has granted the following senior privileges requested by the senior class:
- Senior lunch line for the first 20 minutes
- Two new microwaves for seniors
- Special senior bonding 8th period activities (e.g., barbecue, walk to Starbucks, activity on the front island, movie in the auditorium, etc.)
- 10 minute early dismissal on Fridays

As part of our effort to build a strong and connected TJ community, SGA is compiling an Activity and Club information database. A few minutes of your time will contribute greatly to our ability to work efficiently with the whole school community.

The information you provide will be password-protected and kept confidential to SGA. We would like to send e-mails to groups about school-wide events; however, if you prefer not to receive these e-mails from us you may indicate your preference on the form.
