Officer Corps

Officers of TJHSST Namaste organize all the meetings and events of the club, ensuring that your experience is both exciting and rewarding.

Being an officer is a serious commitment that requires time out of school and 8th period. They are elected at the end of each year before J-Day, when the results are announced. In order to become an officer, you must have attended at least 3 8th period meetings and contributed actively to the club, either through meetings, International Night, Bhangra Bash, J-Day, or in any other way. In order to participate in the voting process, you must have attended at least 3 8th period meetings.


2011-2012 Officers
President - Pranava Raparla

The President is in charge of running all Namaste activities according to the proper regulations.

Vice-President - Suganya Sridharma

The Vice-President's duty is to assist the President and take over if the President is unavailable.

Treasurer - Wills Johnston

The Treasurer oversees all transactions, fund collection, member dues, and reports the accounts to the proper authorities.

Secretary - Sameer Singh

The Secretary takes minutes of all meetings, reports them to the officers, and ensures they are reviewable at a later date.

Public Relations - Sarah Quettawala

The PR Officers are in charge of getting information out to Namaste's members and advertising for events.

Historian - Kunal Khurana

The Historian's job is to take pictures of all Namaste activities and prepare a scrapbook or album at the end of the year.

Webmaster - Rithvik Prasannappa

The Webmaster builds and maintains the website to distribute information about Namaste and its activities.

All officers are required to attend weekly lunch meetings, 8th periods, take on additional responsibilities in planning and organizing Namaste activities, and boost the reputation of the club so that more people will attend and become educated about Indian culture.
