Shakespearience!

Hosted by The Thomas Jefferson Shakespeare Troupe, Shakespearience! is a day when students grades 1-8 learn about Shakespeare while having a great time! From watching clips from 10 Things I Hate About You to illustrating Shakespeare's sonnets, kids delve into all of the exciting facets of the Bard's works. Their teachers are enthusiastic high school students, who put a lot of time and energy into the event and are eager to share their passion. The day is spent in a series of interactive workshops and culminates in a performance of a Shakespearean scene. Students in grades 1 and 2 get to participate in a shorter morning activity tailored to their interests known as Shakespalooza. A pizza lunch is provided for all.
