An integral part of the TJ Guidance Department, the College/Career Center works closely with counselors to provide practical, current
information to the TJ community. College/Career Center Resource Specialist Mrs. Laurie Kobick runs the center assisted by parent volunteers.
The College/Career Center is TJ's main source of information on the college process and career planning. The center also has numerous
resources on college financial aid, testing, jobs and summer and volunteer opportunities.
Hours are 8am - 4pm, Monday through Friday throughout the school year. To facilitate student use, the center is open before school hours,
during lunch and during eighth period. However, since the center is often used for classroom and other activities during the day, parents are
strongly urged to call in advance of a visit. This will ensure that the room and staff are ready to meet your needs. Mrs. Kobick is also
available for personal conferences by appointment.
