Supporting TJShawn DeRose, Director of Student Activities and Athletics
Shawn DeRose received a master's degree in Educational Administration from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio and his bachelor's degree in Education (Social Studies) from Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. Prior to becoming the Director of Student Activities at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, he served as an Assistant Principal and Assistant Director of Student Activities at J.E.B. Stuart High School. Shawn and his wife Mary Kate, have two daughters, Claire and Regan. Mary Kate also works for FCPS as a Literacy Coach at Woodley Hills Elementary School.
