These notices were on the PTSA home page (or other important pages).
This proposed slate of officers will be presented for a vote at the general meeting of the PTSA on June 7, 2012. Newly elected officers will take their office at the close of the meeting. In the case of absence or inability of the President to act during her term of office, the designated order of officers to perform the duties of President is Grace Becker as 1st Vice President and then Lakshmi Bala as 2nd Vice President.
PTSA Officers -- The Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for the six elected positions on the TJ PTSA Executive Committee for the 2012-2013 school year: President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, and Treasurer. In order to provide continuity and experience, we anticipate that perhaps 2 - 4 of the current officers will serve another year in some capacity.
Any PTSA member with the willingness and ability to serve and provide leadership is welcome to apply. (Note: PTSA by-laws require that a person may be nominated for president only if he/she has served on the executive board for at least one term.) PTSA members who want to nominate someone else for an office may do so, with the nominee's permission. The deadline for nominations is March 23, 2012. The nomination form can be found using this link.
Please send any questions or completed forms to the Nominating Committee Chair, Cindy Hann at The Nominating Committee members are Linda Loffredo, Jean Lee, Lakshmi Bala, Cindy Hann, and Nirmala Sundararaman.
