Diversity Committee Test Prep Class Information
The TJHSST PTSA Diversity Committee conducts a test preparation course to prepare for the TJ admissions exam. This course is open to all qualified applicants. The Diversity Committee particularly encourages students who belong to ethnic, geographic, racial or socioeconomic groups that are underrepresented at TJ.
How to Apply for Admission to the Test Preparation Course
Admission to the test preparation course is based on math and science grades in 7th grade and the applicant's scores on a qualifying test to be given on September 7, 2013. To register to take this qualifying test please click here.
Cost
The cost of the preparation course is $120, except for students who receive free/reduced-price meals. The cost for students who receive free/reduced-price meals is $60. Payment must be made on the first day of the course via check payable to TJHSST PTSA.
Test Prep Course (8th graders) Calendar (all times Eastern)
- September 7, 2013, 12:59 PM: Deadline to submit on-line registration form to take the qualifying test for admission into the test prep course.
- September 7, 2013, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Information session about TJ Test Prep class offered to students by the TJ Diversity Committee (Location: TJ Cafeteria)
- September 14 - November 30, 2013, 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM: If accepted into the TJ Test Prep Course Sponsored by the TJ PTSA Diversity Committee the class will be held on 10 consecutive Saturdays. Attendance at all 10 session is required!
