Diversity Committee Math Enrichment Class Information

Active parents involved in the TJ PTSA Diversity Committee have organized a 10-week mathematics enrichment class for students who love and/or have a passion for math and wish to increase their exposure to advanced math problems. Students from under-represented groups are particularly encouraged to apply.

Students will be taught subjects such as algebra, geometry, probability, and number theory. The class will be taught by teachers who have prepared students to take the mathematics section of the TJHSST admissions test.

To find more information about this class, please attend the information session on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 1 PM - 3 PM at Thomas Jefferson High School. Please bring your registered student to this information session as an assessment test will be administered.

How to Apply for Admission to the Math Enrichment Course

Admission to the math enrichment course is based on the student's math grades in 5th or 6th grade and the applicant's scores on an assessment test to be given on January 26, 2013. To register for this class please click here.

Cost

The cost of the math enrichment course is $120, except for students who receive free/reduced-price meals. The cost for students who receive free/reduced-price meals is $60. Payment must be made on the first day of the course via check payable to TJHSST PTSA.
