TJ Diploma Requirements, Weighted Courses, and Other Similar Issues

Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS) regulation 3355.10, specifies the courses required to earn a TJ Diploma. These requirements are summarized in the attached table drafted by the TJ Department of Student Services.

In 2009-10, FCPS began weighting by 0.5 core academic courses in English, math, science and social studies, including selected post-AP science classes that did not receive 1.0 weighting accorded to all AP and some post-AP courses.
