Extracurricular dramatic arts take many forms at TJ, including Shakespeare Troupe, the award-winning Improv Team (both student-run), 'Froshfest' for students new to theatre at TJ, The Virginia Theatre Association competition, 'Annual Knight of One Axe' One-Act Festival, and a major TJ Drama production each semester.

All students are eligible to participate in theatre at TJ, and no experience is necessary. There are numerous ways to get involved, including acting and/or teching (set design/construction, sound, lights, stage crew, costumes, make-up, etc.).

TJ Theatre Boosters supports the work of all TJ Drama and Shakespeare Troupe productions, and we sponsor an annual Awards Banquet in June.
