Description

The It's Academic LaTeX Project (ItALX) [pronounced "Italics"] is a project designed to allow easy LaTeX typesetting for quiz bowl competition packets. It was created by Dan Schafer (TJ Class of 2006) and Evan Silberman (TJ Class of 2007).

Details

The "quizbowl" class

A major component of the project is a set of comprehensive macros for quiz bowl packets, for both tossups and boni. These macros, as well as stylings for many major packet creation systems, are defined in the custom "quizbowl" class for LaTeX documents. The class is currently available in the Files section, and full documentation for this package will be available shortly.

The QBQ Standard

The Quiz Bowl Question (.qbq) file standard is designed to allow those unfamiliar with LaTeX to create ItALX documents by creating plain-text, well-defined question files. A parsing script can then be used to convert the .qbq file to an ItALX document. The QBQ file specification is currently available in the files section.

Licensing

The entirety of the ItALX project is available under the GNU Public License.

Note that the final round listed is not the final version of the round; there are still many typos, the trash quesiton was not replaced, and the questions are not rearranged.
