MODEL T

Inventor: Henry Ford

  • Invented in 1908 by Henry Ford
  • "A car for the great multitude."

The Model T was the car responsible for the famous quote "you can paint it any color, so long as its black." Born from Fords desire to build a car for the greater masses, Model T was the car that transformed the nation and changed the valuemore like, the meaning, of cars. Before Model T, cars had been a luxury; only the rich enjoyed its benefits. But with the coming of the Model T, the average man could now purchase a car and use as a common mean of transportation. Model T is associated with Fords industrial boom and the moving assembly line that allowed mass production.
