PENTIUM PROCESSOR

Inventor: Intel Corporation

The first Pentium processor, a registered trademark of Intel corp. was created in 1993. This processor enabled the use of sound and photographic images and spawned the creation of newer Pentium processors. Before the creation of the Pentium, computers were mainly used for computational purposes, with the ability to run certain software.
By allowing visual and audio data to be stored in the computers, this opened up the several other uses for the computer. Some of these include entertainment, games, and communication. The Pentium chips are so complex that the newest version, the Pentium 4 contains 42 million transistors. The Pentium processors were also designed to enhance internet utilization.
