Developments in technology during this time would lead to the basis of weapons and tools used in both World War I and World War II. Many inventions of this time period also helped the American consumer including the light bulb and the elevator. Many of these simple inventions are taken for granted today but must have revolutionized the lives of the people alive at the time. Due to ease of communication and transportation established previously, this era blossomed with numerous ideas and inventions.
