I Am Sad. - May 23, 2008
I am sad because I am competing all alone this year - one of my fellow team members is out of town, and the other is busy. So I am all by myself.
We Are Sad. - May 17
We are sad because we will not be competing this year - the blackboard we wrote our team on to register with Ms. Little got erased, and none of us got the email saying to sign up again. This means that we will not do IPSC this year. Depressing.
IPSC 2006 - April 27
The Lackeys are back! After a nice long break, we are ready to code again. This year, the contest is on May 18, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We will use our Code2O powers to win!!!!!
Current Current Status - as of 1:45 PM Friday, May 13
WOOT!
The IPSC is over and the results are out!
We finished 57th!
The other teams from TJ that we beat were:
- JEF (69th)
- teh uber (75th)
- The Sentient Beings Who Dislike Java (84th) --this was Dan Tran's team!
- ~xyzzy/nothinghappens (85th) --and this was Alfie and Logan!
- 3.1415926535897932384626433832 (107th)
- Tactical Programming Unit (126th)
The teams from TJ that beat us were:
- Team Moo (8th)
- Team One (41st)
- Team G0SU (42nd)
- Team Yoyo (47th)
- Team Omega (55th)
Believe it or not, we owned two non-frosh teams, along with two teams of freshmen.
Maybe next year we should be "The Way Cool Owning Lackeys".
On second thought, by then we won't be the syslab lackeys, and will have to come up with something entirely new.... Or maybe "The Pseudo-Lackeys"....
Regardless, we will keep Code2O as our... whatever it is... mascot?
Old Current Status - as of Monday, May 9
We are officially ready for the IPSC on friday.
Our online registration is done, we filled out the forms for TJ (some of us at the last minute- that would be Drew, turning his in this morning while the deadline was technically friday...), and the caffeinated penguin mints from ThinkGeek arrived over the weekend.
We even have our own energy drink- Code2O.
Now all we have to do is practice...
Who we are
The Lackeys consist of Josiah Boning, Jack Breese, and Drew Stebbins.
We are three freshmen at TJHSST, the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology.
(Though our gym wall might lead you to believe that it's the Thomas effers Hi h School... stupid paint peeling off.)
Last Wednesday we heard about the IPSC while eating lunch in the Computer Systems Lab, more often called the Syslab.
Miraculously, we all managed to get the forms in... sort of... on time.
Then we actually got around to looking at previous years' problems and figuring out what the heck we were going to be doing.
Let's just say that any good luck wishes will be appreciated; we need them.
