To better understand the science and math inherent in circus acts, the circus must be experienced first hand.
So, we did.
On April 3, we saw the 10:30 show at the DC Armory. Besides playing at the Ringling Experience before the show, we had a special meeting with circus people after the show. A number of acts demonstrated for us, then we had a chance to ask questions of the performers. After that, several clowns brought out their tools of the trade for the students to try. One of the clowns explained the process he used to design a new act with bungee cords. After that, we toured behind the stage and saw how the animals lived.
