Design Statement: The first floor of my house contains a very large garage. My garage will provide storage space for cars, miscellaneous equipment for sports and other fun activities, and a work space for various projects that shouldn’t be done inside the house. The living room is very large and open, because I prefer houses with a plethora of open areas. Also, the sun room provides ample amount of light in the evening because it is on the west side of the building. The kitchen is on the east side in order to watch the sun rise. There are many windows on the south side of the building, in order to have a nice view of the pool and the beautiful atmosphere of the backyard. Also, the kitchen contains a pantry that is large enough for food storage and opens into the garage for direct transportation of groceries from vehicle to fridge. All of the bedrooms of the house have either a choice of a balcony for a view of the pool, or a walk in closet and personal bathroom. There is also a storage room for various items, such as boxes of holiday decorations. The basement contains a large exercise area and a study, because a healthy body as well as a healthy mind is very important to me. Also, there is a dance party area, a.k.a. an open area for recreational purposes. The guest house contains a bathroom that is accessible from the outside, in case one is wet from the pool and he/she does not want to drip all through the house. There is also a room for pool storage, such as floatation devices and various pool chemicals such as chlorine. All of the bathrooms with an accompanying closet are not only accessible from the bedrooms but also from each other so that after you take a shower you can go straight into your closet to get dressed. There is also a small patio outside the guest house that is on the south side in order to have some privacy from the main house. |
