Future
On Tuesday 01 July 2003, I will be inducted as a Midshipman Fourth Class ("Plebe") at the United States Naval Academy, located in Annapolis, Maryland. Although it is unlikely that I will continue working on this particular project after completing my work in the Computer Systems Laboratory, I intend to earn a major in computer science or computer engineering, a commitment in which my knowledge of databases and user interfaces gained through this project likely will serve me well. Future studies may also include work in the field of economics, a discipline in which I have some interest. I may have enough credits from AP classes taken at Thomas Jefferson to be able to explore these areas deeply. Additionally, I will pursue status as a Trident Scholar in order to have opportunities for independent study and research as a Midshipman First Class. In conclusion, I believe that the focus on computers and finance will result in my obtaining critical skills for modern life, an age of technology and of an expanding participation in financial investment.
