Things I know in CS
My last programming class was in A.P. Computer Science, where I was focused on C++. Since entering this techlab I have picked up HTML, and am working to improve my proficiency.
Things I would like to learn in CS
As yet, I am mostly interested in increasing the overall bredth of my knowledge and my familiarity with the UNIX system. I would like to learn Java and GTK+ as they are languages tailored to the focus of my project.
Interests I have other than CS
I am extremely interested in psychology, and the way in which people respond and learn. Resultingly, I would like to tie aspects of psychology into my project, designing an interface that addresses the confusion the average user has when learning to use a new program. The more user-friendly my gui (graphic user interface), the happier I'll be. In my free time, I participate in Model United Nations and TJ GEMS (Girls in Engineering, Math, and Science).
Subjects/Directions I may want to study in college
I may want to go into Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or Human Factors Psychology, thus tying together my knowledge of Computer Science with my interest in the study of how people think and behave.
