Status report for two weeks ended November 1
    Coding of second iteration is nearing completion. Assignments for first quarter completed.

November 1, 2002
    End of oral presentations. Websites reviewed. Turned in end-of-quarter assignments. Worked on coding [after school].

October 30, 2002
    Watched two more presentations. Finished up Project Proposal and modified the web site.

October 28, 2002
    Watched Matt's presentation on his Luminance Project and Mike T.'s presentation on his particle engine project. Updated and improved my LaTeX project proposal.

October 25, 2002
    Worked on switching my iteration to use stdio.h instead of fstream.h. Watched oral reports by George, Jing, and Laura.

October 23, 2002
    Created oral presentation summary web page, which can be found here. Finished LaTeX document, and posted it here.

October 21, 2002
    Gave an oral presentation on my project and discussed the project.

Status report for three weeks ended October 18
    Finished a header-reading program for .pgm files. Worked on LaTeX proposal document. Began preparation for oral presentation.

October 18, 2002
    Figured out problem with LaTeX bibliography. Watched Ben Ellis' oral presentation. Lack of Internet was once again a problem.

October 16, 2002
    Continued work on LaTeX document, but was hampered by broken Internet connection. Will finish on Friday.

October 10, 2002
    Worked on my first LaTeX document. Was out of the lab for a significant part of the period, having my yearbook picture taken.

October 8, 2002
    Began new iteration report. Planned second iteration.

October 4, 2002
    Finished coding for header interpretation. Updated logs and iteration report.

October 2, 2002
    Worked on coding for interpretation of the file headers. Updated Iteration 1 report to mention the new coding.

September 30, 2002
    Continued coding. Short block.

Status report for two weeks ended Sept 27, 2002:
    Some research into previously used methods of steganography completed. Began coding a rudimentary first iteration that uses .pgm files rather than JPEGs.

September 23, 2002
    Continued research.

September 20, 2002
    Found a few articles on steganography using Proquest. One included a helpful explanation with graphics of one possible implementation of steganography.

September 18, 2002
    Updated the informal proposal by adding a description of who the potential users are. Also created a folder for iteration progress reports, and began the first iteration progress report (.txt file).

Status report for two weeks ended Sept 13., 2002:
    Completed informal project proposal. Most of web site completed (needs beautifying). Some Internet research completed. Important things left to do before beginning: decide finally what image file type to use for project; research that file type; research schemes for steganography.

    Added several pages to this website. Hope to be completed with main page framework on Friday.

    Began doing research of my topic on the World Wide Web. Confirmed the technical term for what I'm doing: "steganography." Links to potentially helpful sites are here.
