Students adapt video technology to convert ideas into a finished visual product, including videos for Fairfax County Public Schools, promotional videos for community agencies and programs that cable-cast throughout the school. Serving as a resource facility, the Television Studio is used to complete projects in a variety of courses including humanities, foreign language, and the sciences. Students are given instruction on equipment operation and ongoing guidance as the projects progress. A study of the fundamentals of audio and video telecommunications equipment is incorporated.
"Participation in the Video Technology course is not solely a lesson in video electronics. Rather, it provider me with a chance to explore my ability to entertain an audience. In developing 'Online,' the school video magazine, editing and visual effects became a tool to inform and amuse the other students in the most technically flawless ways possible." -Matt Chayt, Student
