Basic Computer Simulation
The student is able to create an animation in OpenGL that models some simple physical principle.
The student has validated the model against known behavior.
The student has added some other complex elements to the model and verified that the observed behavior is probably correct.
Expanded Model and Scientific Visualization
The student has utilized the basic model in a more complex simulation where the effects of two or more parameters are studied.
The student has has created some method of seeing the interaction of the parameters by using an appropriate scientific visualization technique.
Web Page Presentation
The web page explains the physical model that is being studied, and the variations that have been studied.
The web page has example screen shots of the basic simulation in progress.
The web page discusses the parameters that are being studied in the scientific visualization.
The web page contains a screen shot of the scientific visualization technique used to study the parameters.
The web page contains links to properly documented source code for the simulation and scientific visualization programs.
Extra Credit
Does your program involve advanced features or did it use parallel programming features such as PVM or the Cluster? Explain below.
Does your program show exceptional creativity or imagination in design or execution? Explain below.
