Computer Systems Research 2008 - 2009

  • Summary of your research portfolio: current 2008-09 projects.
    1. Project proposal - Project definition, purpose, background, computer language and software, algorithms and methods you will research, testing and analysis, scope of your research, and results you expect to achieve. Example LaTeX shell (pdf). Save as .tex and compile with pdflatex proposal.tex to generate proposal.pdf
    2. Research paper (.doc) LaTeX and pdf; also this link for more info; example research papers; tips on good technical writing
    3. Project poster
    4. Oral presentation
    5. Program code and a running description of how your program actually runs, 2nd quarter version
    6. Project Description/Abstract, one page summary of your project including project background and project description
    7. Testing and analysis of your project for correctness, validity, directions for development
    8. Daily logs and iteration reports: planning, design, coding, testing and re-evaluation cycle
    9. Timelines for your project development
