01/10/03: I'm Baaaaaaaaack!

Hello again!  I had a wonderful, relaxing winter break, but now I'm back, and I've really got to update this so-called daily log.  I worked on my program over the break and got the wall-input functions working and all that jazz.  Progress Report #5 details all that quite nicely, so I'm not going to explain it again, but here's the animated gif of a part of the museum:

Anyway, I would have updated my daily logs earlier except for the fact that I had to make sure the modified program would work in the school's Linux environment (I use Windows at home) and finish up the progress report because it's supposed to be every other week and it's been a month.

Now I've got to work on writing up the poster and all that. (Gah!  I hate the end of the quarter!  It's always such a hassle rushing to get everything finished for grading.)  I've also got to give an oral report of my progress in my project (at least I can report some new additions to my old code), and finish another progress report before the end of the month.  Blargh.  Actually, while I was writing up this most recent iteration report, I thought of some possible goals for the next one.  I could make maps to put in each of the different wings that show where the user is and all that.  I also have to replace the collision detection that I removed from the last iteration.  There's still the matter of figuring out a way to efficiently space out the museum exhibits in their proper rooms and finding out how to play videos in OpenGL to attend to as well.  And, I've got to work on the exterior of the museum as well; the Memorial Gardens were supposed to take up a quarter and I haven't got much of those left.  Whew!  I've certainly got my work cut out for me.  Better get crackin'! =)
