OpenGL

OpenGL Tutorial - This site contains a brief introduction to programming in OpenGL, including examples of code and short explanations of basic OpenGL abilities, such as drawing in 3 dimensions, changing perspectives, transformations, animation, and lighting.

NeHe Productions - This site contains another OpenGL tutorial.  The author has a disclaimer where he warns that there may be mistakes, but for the most part, it provides detailed explanations perfect for beginning programmers (like me).

The Developers Gallery: OpenGL - This site has information in detail for many OpenGL related projects.  There are also many tutorials that were written to help new programmers come to grasp with OpenGL in an easy-to-follow way.  The books section provides a good selection of books on the topic of OpenGL.  Some links to other useful OpenGL sites can also be found.

Code Pile: OGL Screenshotta - This site contains the screenshot function I used to save the screen output as targa picture files.

History

The History Channel - This site contains a television guide for upcoming programs on the History Channel.  It also contains information and constantly changing exhibits about important historical events.
