01/22/03: News Flash on the Exhibit Front

Yeah, yeah.  I need serious help coming up with titles.  So sue me.  Anyway, you'll never believe it--I actually taped a History Channel program!  Aren't you just so proud?  It was the Charles Lindberg one.  However, I haven't gotten a chance to get it into my computer yet, so don't expect that for a couple of days.

I've also managed to get up the exhibits section...only looking back on it, I don't like the way it's organized, so I'll have to reorganize it so that it's easier to read in the files and organize them in my program code.  I have a faint idea of how I want to read in the filenames and all that, but not totally sure yet.  First, I have to read in a text file with the names of all the videos in the museum.  Then the video files have to be organized into their separate sections, and the program has to count how many exhibits are in each room.  Finally, it has to reasonably space the exhibits out in each room, taking into account the doorway openings.  Honestly, I think the doorways are going to be the biggest problem--I can figure out how to do everything else.

But anyway, I've got to reorganize the exhibits section before I can get to any of that, so that's what I'll be doing right now.  Later
