02/12/03: Exasperated.  Very Exasperated

So I blow off my other homework so I can sit in front of my computer and watch these History programs for about the fourth time--all so I can get to work today putting up new exhibits.  I managed to split the Liberty Ships program into four different exhibits: Liberty Ships, The Battle of Midway, The Bombing of Pearl Harbor, and a little fluff segment showing The Early Days of Landing on Aircraft Carriers.  And after having to restart my computer twice, I manage to render them all into avi files and start uploading them to my website.  Then I go to sleep, figuring hey, these are huge files, I don't have to stay up until midnight making sure they'll get uploaded.  Fair assumption, right?  Yeah, right.  So I get up this morning and check on it...it hasn't even uploaded one file--the Internet connection cut off midway through.  So I frantically throw together a CD to bring to school in the hopes of salvaging my original plan...but nooooo.  The CD won't work on any of the Linux or Windows machines, so I've just got to wait until I get home tonight and try again.  I repeat: Exasperated.  Very exasperated.

Well, I've got to find useful programs for the next week, too.  And after that, I've got to write summaries for the four video files I've already got, so that'll probably keep me busy for this class period.  Still rather upset about the video files, though...

I don't have time to write summaries of the four video files I have, but hopefully they'll be up by Friday...I'll at least be able to finish them on Friday during class...that is if we don't have snow again...I've been hearing rumors going both ways.  Seeya!
