04/30/03: The Last Quarter of High School

Scary, ain't it? =) Anyway, as you can tell from one of the last couple entries, I finally did end up finishing the functions that arranged the exhibits on the museum walls.  However, in the end-of-the-quarter rush, I didn't get a chance to display the screengrabs of these exhibits, so now, I have an animated gif of that below:

It's a little jerky, I know, but you get the picture.  So now there are several things I have to do:

  • Finish Progress Report #9
  • Start Progress Report #10, the goal of which is going to be to get the mouse routine working and all that jazz
  • Get the mouse routine working.  I think I'm going to save the Internet2 applications for another time and just have the program call mplayer to play the video.
  • Find more video files

Actually, the last item on that list is one of the more important ones.  Planning ahead, I'm going to try and make the goal of Progress Report #11 the collision detection function.  I don't think I'll be able to get more accomplished on my program than that because I'll be working on my paper and documentation and all that annoying stuff.

With that said, here are some programs that are coming up that I should definitely tape and convert to video files:

Date Time Program
Thursday 5/1 7:00am - 8:00am The Most: Heists/Battlefield Innovations/Destruction/Home Sweet Home/Wright Brothers' First Flight
Saturday 5/3 10:00am - 11:00am Automobiles: Model "T"
Saturday 5/3 11:00pm - 12:00am Hoover Dam

Okay, well, that's all, I think.  I love how I got soo much accomplished today.  Oh well.
